Saint Mark Youth Mission Statement
As Saint Mark youth, we believe that Jesus is the light to the world and a role model as we show unconditional love toward one another. We come together to learn about God's Word, God's Grace, and witness for Jesus Christ.
Saint Mark offers programs to foster growth and faith development in our youth. We strive to encourage one another and build each other up as we reach out to the community through missions and through our own spiritual journey.
Sunday School
You are invited to our youth Sunday school as we continue our journey of the Bible and grow in our relationship with God.
We have a middle school class for grades 7 and 8 and a senior high class for grades 9 through 12. We meet on Sunday mornings at 10 am.
Wings for the Lord Youth Choir
Wings for the Lord youth choir is for any youth in grades 7 - 12. We enjoy singing God's praises through song during worship services, special events, and in the community. We began in 1995 and have toured each summer around the country singing for churches, children's homes, nursing homes, and retirement centers. Each year we perform two Dessert Theaters, a barbeque dinner, and angel sponsors as fundraisers for our tour.
We meet every Sunday from 4:30 - 5:30 pm.
United Methodist Youth Fellowship
Youth in grades 7 - 12 enjoy Impact on Sunday nights from 6 - 7 pm following a snack supper. Programs provide a challenge for our youth to grow spiritually through large/small groups, fellowship, competitions, mission projects, retreats, and special events. Come and enjoy a time with christian friends as we encourage one another and grow in God's Grace.
PEP for Youth
During the school calendar, Praise, Encouragement, and Prayer is given on Wednesday nights from 6:15 pm - 7 pm for grades 7 - 12. Come and take time for God during the middle of your week! You will be glad you came!
In His Eyes
In His Eyes Movement Team meets on Sundays at 3:30. This is a team that performs movement that brings visual meaning to songs. They work with dowel sticks, materials, and other forms of art.
Tasty Tuesday
We enjoy starting our morning together before school.
We meet at Chick Fil-A between
7 and 7:45 am to get our day started right with a smile and a prayer.
Special Events:
Throughout the year, Saint Mark youth are involved with many mission opportunities. They are busy in the summer with camps around South Carolina called Salkehatchie, Vacation Bible School, Music Camp, Special Friends Day Camp and adventure trips.
