Next time you are in Church, take a moment to look for young children – ages 10 and under. We have a serious shortage of families with young children. In fact, the rising 2008 first grade class has only one child on the Sunday School roster. This critical issue has been discussed by the PPRC, the COS, and the Church Staff for close to one year. We believe the future of Saint Mark depends strongly on attracting young families to our Church. This will take an increased awareness and a renewed focus by our whole Church. To help add focus on this important ministry, we have created and filled a part-time position to fill some short term needs develop a strategy to bring young families into Saint Mark. This effort will need to be supported by all.
Ami Edwards, raised within the Church, has accepted this Position and she will begin working with the Staff and Congregation to address this critical need. Please give Ami a warm Saint Mark welcome and offer prayer and support for this important ministry. This ministry will provide for the future of Saint Mark.
Activities for Children in Preschool - Kindergarten
On Sunday, November 16, the Son Shine Club will sing at the Celebration Service. We will wear our new Son Shine Club T-shirts. Parents should see Ami Edwards to get their child's shirt. We are asking each child to contribute $5 to help cover the cost of the shirts.
