Our adult choir will divide duties to sing at the 8:15 am and 11:15 am traditional services. They present a variety of song styles, including classical, gospel, light contemporary, and hymn arrangements. Beginning August 13, 2008, this choir rehearses Wednesday nights at 7:15 p.m. in the new music suite. Special events this seaon include presentation of our commissioned anthem on Sunday, September 21 when Bishop Taylor will consecrate the new Sanctuary and December 21 for our presentation of MESSIAH with orchestra.

During a recent rehearsal, the Chancel Choir presented our Music Director, David Wilcox, with a very important three-part charge: commission an anthem by the composer of my choice; teach it to the choir; and present it to the congregation as a gift of love in the dedication of our renovated sanctuary. Dr. Richard Williamson, David's colleague, friend, and professor of Music at Anderson University will compose this anthem. As of April 11, Dr. Williamson had played the beginning and ending ideas for this anthem on his computer. We look forward to the completed work!
The Music Suite and Sanctuary renovations began about March 24. Until we can occupy our renovated space, rehearsals will be held in Room 101 .
