The United Methodist Women (UMW) primary function is the support of women and children on both a local and global scale.  A major benefit of the UMW group is the fellowship and support of a community of caring women at St. Mark who make up this group.  There are seven Circles that meet on the first Monday of each month at different times of the day and evening, to accomodate schedules for both working and retired people.  Often, these groups meet in members' homes.  UMW also provide a bereavement meal to family members. 

Supporting mission work in the United Methodist Church and the local community are primary activities of the United Methodist Women.  The annual Mission Fair and Service Auction every fall, sponsored with the Service Ministry Team, raises funds for local missions and to support domestic and foreign mission trips.  The 2007 Mission Fair, Service Auction, and Bake Sale are scheduled for Wednesday, November 7 at St. Mark UMC.  The Mission Fair and Service Auction will be in the St. Mark Center while the bake sale/prepared food sale will be in th eatrium.  A Yard Sale is scheduled on the lawn at Keese Realty the morning of Saturday, November 3.
