WINGS for the Lord

Wings for the Lord Youth Choir

Wings for the Lord youth choir is for any youth in grades 7 - 12.  We enjoy singing God's praises through song during worship services, special events, and in the community.  We began in 1995 and have toured each summer around the country singing for churches, children's homes, nursing homes, and retirement centers.  Each year,
as fundraisers for our tour, we perform two Dessert Theaters, dinners, yard sales. We also receive many donations from our Angel Sponsors .
We meet in the music suite every Sunday from 4:00 - 5:00 pm.

Spring Dinner Theater

Wing's Sing and the Lion's Serve.

The Wing's for the Lord choir and the Lion's Club teamed up on Sunday March 4th to provide excelent food and excellent entertainment.

After the Gathering songs by the choir and the Youth Praise Band, Berti Jungnick and Andy Stein performed Our Way, a song that Berti wrote.

The choir sang You Lift Me Up and Shelby Rushe, Rebekah Wales and Anna Wilson were featured in the rendition of He'd Still Be God. That was follwed by Trey Stephens piano solo of East to West.

Anna Wilson (left) performed Lead Me to the Cross. The choir sang Can You Feel the Love Tonight. Amanda Van Heusen (right) sang Colors of the Wind

The In His Eyes Movement Team performed God is God. The God is God song tells about how powerful God is and how weak man is.  This drama shows how a person learns and follows Jesus but goes into chaos by the temptations of the world as we all are.  She loses her way but comes back to find Jesus waiting with loving arms. See this drama and Kaelyn Johnson performing Revelation in the video below.

The In His Eyes Team returned to perform Arise, My Love and the choir sang Glorius Day. The show closed with The choir's redition of Promise. The video below shows Arise, My Love and Promise.

Saint Mark United Methodist Church
Seneca, SC

Since 1995, Wings for the Lord youth choir from Saint Mark United Methodist Church in Seneca, sings on a weeklong summer tour to churches, children’s homes, nursing homes, etc. This year, from June 16th to the 22nd, churches in South Carolina and Florida hosted our group in homes and in gyms. Our concert featured songs that illustrate “waiting on God’s perfect timing” that included a drama presented by our senior class as well as presentations by our In His Eyes movement tea

In South Carolina, we had the honor of singing at Hibben UMC in Mt. Pleasant and Union UMC in Conway. In addition to our concerts, we sang in Myrtle Beach at Barefoot Landing and Travel Park Campground through Impact Ministries. We also sang at Whitten Center in Clinton, Wesley Commons in Greenwood and in Jacksonville, Florida.

Wings for the Lord choir, for youth in grades 7 – 12, began as a small group of youth wanting to celebrate God’s grace through singing. To learn more about our choir, you may contact Donna Poston dposton@saintmarkumcseneca.org.
